I have ridden this trail, which is in Arden Hills, MN, several times and found it to be a very nice trail that is not quite 10 miles around but can easily be made a 10-mile ride with a little imagination. It goes through some grasslands/prairie and woodlands, as well as past the back of a very nice neighborhood with many flower gardens planted along the trail. The home owners obviously take great pride in their backyards and it adds a lot to the trail. There is a no-leash enclosed dog park on the east side of the park but it is fenced and does not hurt your experience.
The north trail connects to the Rice Creek Regional Trail—West and if you take in both the trails you can make it a 15- to 20-mile ride. It took me several times at the north trail to notice the trail to the west portion as the connecting trail is across Co. Rd. ‘I’ right across from one of the two parking lots that I would pull into just before reaching the trail to the west section. That trail goes through some woodlands and grasslands to the west park and through Long Lake Park, which has a nice collection of trails around the lake and park.
